Increase Website Conversions With This Free Analytics Tool - From Web Analytics to Conversions: Make Your Site Work Harder

Let’s start with the obvious: why are you here?

Chances are, you’re trying to grow your business — not just anywhere, but specifically online. You want a stronger digital presence. You want a website that works harder for you.

If that’s the case, congrats — you’re in the right place.

There’s no better tool for growing your business than your website. Unlike a physical storefront or a phone line, your site can serve hundreds, thousands — even millions — of visitors at once. And the best part? It can convert those visitors into customers without you lifting a finger. If it’s built right.

So let’s talk about how to build a site that does just that: passively convert traffic into business.

Let’s Dive Into the Website Madness

Say you already have a website — it’s functional, live, and people are visiting. But… no one’s converting.

Here’s the first tool we always recommend: Microsoft Clarity.

We use it constantly at Full Frame. It’s so good, it almost feels illegal (don’t worry — it’s not). This free tool lets you literally see how users are interacting with your website. Each move they make with their cursor, each click, when they scroll… all of it. The best part is: it’s free forever — Microsoft offers it as a lead magnet to their other products, but there’s no catch.

Installing Clarity is super simple, and we will explain below how to set it up (in the tutorial). You can also just ask us for help.

Learn the Lingo: Key Website Metrics

Before you start analyzing Clarity reports, here’s a quick rundown of helpful terms:

  • Quick backs: When a user clicks something and immediately hits the back button.

  • Bounce rate: The percentage of users who view only one page before leaving.

  • Dead clicks: When a user clicks on something expecting it to work, but it doesn’t.

  • Rage clicks: Repeated clicking in frustration, usually because something isn’t working.

  • Average time per session: How long, on average, users stay on your site.

Get familiar with these — they’ll help you make sense of what you’re seeing in Clarity.

What Clarity Can Show You

With Clarity, you can watch real sessions from real users: see where they click, where they scroll, where they give up. You’ll learn where your site confuses them, where they get bored, or what makes them leave.

This insight is gold, especially if you’re running Google Ads, writing blog content, or promoting on social. Clarity gives you the edge: it helps you tailor your website around your audience, turning it into a lead-generation machine.

What If Your Website Still Isn’t Cutting It?

After installing Clarity, you might come to a tough realization: your site just isn’t up to the task. And no, we’re not just going to tell you to hire us (although you are welcome to do so).

Before scrapping everything, try improving what you have. That might mean:

  • Cleaning up the design

  • Improving your CTA’s (call-to-action)

  • Compressing images for speed

  • Adding testimonials or social proof

Not sure where to start? Try using our free website checker. Just paste in your URL, and it’ll tell you what needs work. Don’t understand the results? Send us an email — we’ll walk you through it.

If you decide a full redesign is the better path, or you’re interested in ongoing support, and are wondering what budget you need for that, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a breakdown of what full-service web design & management costs in 2025.

One Final Word on Design

Here’s the thing: no website checker can tell you if your design feels good, if it represents your brand.

That’s where real design experience comes in– agencies.

If your site doesn’t convey the level of professionalism you need, that is where agencies enter the game. They are professionals who have done this and know how to get there. We’ve done this dozens of times and know how to translate your brand into something that resonates.

That said, if you’re on a tight budget, a DIY route is absolutely possible — especially if you leverage tools like Clarity and our website checker.

We often work with clients who’ve done the groundwork themselves and are now ready to level up. Wherever you are in the journey, Full Frame is here — whether it’s answering questions, helping with fixes, or managing the whole thing for you. Now for the Clarity tutorial →

How To Set Up Clarity (Tutorial)

Ok, let’s get you set up.

  1. Navigate to https://clarity.microsoft.com/ and create an account.

  2. Now you should be logged in and either see “get started” (middle left) or “+ New Project” (top left). Click on that.

  3. You should now see this pop-up prompting you to input the project name, URL, and industry. Once you’ve done that, click on “Add New Project.”

  4. Now you will see Almost there! and below that, three boxes with different setup methods. You will most likely choose the top option to install with one of the providers.

  5. DONE! You should be good to go

  6. PS: if you read this and were like “wait. I wanted to choose the 2nd option…” We got you. Let’s keep going.

  7. If you clicked option 2, you will get the HTML embed code that needs to be pasted into the <head> element on your website. This is different from website to website, but there are good tutorials out there.
